Following my service I worked in London for four and a half years in the Sales and Marketing Division of an engineering company. I then returned to the North West and worked as Distribution Services Manager of Sir W.H. Bailey & Co; before transferring to the Parts Division of the Leyland Truck and Bus Company, where I eventually became Export Sales Manager responsible Southern Africa, the Caribbean and South America.
